Four young lovers flee into a forest near Athens, where they become entangled in the quarrels of the fairy king Oberon and queen Titania. When the mischievous fairy Puck uses a magical love potion, confusion erupts as the lovers suddenly fall in love with the wrong people. Meanwhile, a group of amateur actors rehearse a play for the wedding of Duke Theseus and Hippolyta.

After a night of enchantment and chaos, the magic is reversed, the lovers are correctly paired, and everyone returns to Athens. The play ends with multiple weddings and a humorous performance by the actors, celebrating harmony, love, and the power of imagination.
